I have a cold sore in my mouth , & carmex says they'll cure cold sores, is it safe to put in my mouth?
If you have cold sore in your month and want to treat it then read on. First off, Carmex is not meant to be put inside your mouth... use something else to apply to your cold sore there are plenty of O-T-C products at your local grocery store or pharmacy.
For some reason carmex always gives me a cold sore. Someone told me I may be allergic to it. The best thing to do for a cold sore is to use the abreva but that's VERY expensive to me. Another thing I've noticed that works VERY well is to keep a spoon or butter knife in the freezer and when you feel a cold sore coming on "freeze" it so to speak. Keep the frozen utensil on it for as long as you can and it WILL go away A LOT sooner! Someone told me about this and so I tried it... and it worked!!! It's usually gone by the end of the day or within just a couple days. It hasn't worked for me if I have waited too long to freeze it (like if the blister is already there) I hope this helps some of you out there!
NEVER put any cold sore medication in your mouth without reading all the directions and warnings. Even if it's a small amount; you can get seriously sick. Cold sore medicine is made for outside of the mouth. I suggest going to the pharmacy and trying to by something that's safe for inside your mouth if it's really that painful/ annoying.
You probably have herpes, but you really need to have it tested to see for sure. Lots of things can be called a "cold sore". Carmex doesn't cure herpes. Herpes is a virus, and you need an antiviral med to treat it. Herpes is not curable, but each episode can be treated to reduce the symptoms.
For sore throat and drainage in your throat gargle with diluted peroxide, for cough, put a generous glob of vicks vapor rub on the soles of your feet and then put socks on. The cough will be gone in about 20 minutes. Don't walk on them though.

i already gave up on ever getting cured of HSV2 because i have try many treatment none of them work out for me i have go to different hospital they always tell me same thing there is no cure for herpes when i came across a post about Dr Goodwin, in the net from a lady called Angela i contacted him and he reassured me with him herbal medicine which i took according to the way he instructed, that how i was cured.
